How to Work With A Rock Crusher?

A rock crusher is a device used to crush rocks into smaller pieces. It is usually used for gravel or some other road or building application. Most of the rock crushers have a hopper at the top. The hopper is a container that holds the rock above the crusher and uses gravity to feed it in. Rock crushers can use a belt drive to constantly make the rock into the crusher. Nearly every type of crusher is a hole at the bottom. If a rock has been pressed into small enough pieces to fit through the hole, it exits the crusher either onto, a conveyor belt, into a bin or onto a large pile. One rock crusher may feed straightly into a second one, breaking the rocks up into smaller and smaller pieces.

There are two types of rock crusher, Gyratory and cone crushers. They work in the same way, although they have a little difference in design. With a spinning grinder at the bottom, the rock falls into the top of a chamber. Since the rock falls down from the top, it is squeezed between the grinder and the walls of the chamber and crushed. Since it continues to fall down the chamber, it is pulverized into smaller and smaller bits before it falls out the bottom.

There is another common type called the roller crusher. The roller crusher is a series of two large metal rollers rotating in opposite directions. The workers put the rocks into space between the two rollers. We often use the roller crushers as a secondary crushing stage. We should make pre-crushed rocks inserted into the roller, which then will break them down into the gravel. Other types such as stone crusher and other heavy equipments should be applied into use accordingly.

Jaw crusher is regarded as the oldest rock crushers and it is also one of the simplest kinds of rock crushers. A jaw crusher is the same as a giant collapsible V which is made out of two metal walls. The two walls are very close together at the bottom and they are further apart at the top. One wall is held still, but another is closed against it. It usually takes about three times a second. When it closes, the jaw crushes the rocks inside it. Because it tapers, the rocks are broken up into smaller and smaller pieces as they go down, then the smaller pieces dropped through the bottom.
